What an incredible surprise this turned out to be! We honestly had underestimated Bagdogra when it came to authentic dine-in experiences, but Dalle’s Thakali completely changed our perception. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem and one of the best places we’ve visited in the area.

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the owner, who was extremely warm, humble, and welcoming. That personal touch instantly made us feel at home.

One thing that deserves a special mention is the exceptional hygiene. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, the kitchen standards seemed excellent, and you could clearly tell that every dish was prepared fresh after ordering. Very few restaurants maintain this level of cleanliness and attention to detail.

The ambience is cozy, elegant, and subtle. It’s not overly flashy but creates a very comfortable atmosphere that’s perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal with family or friends.

Now, coming to the food… absolutely phenomenal!

🥟 Chicken Momos: Without exaggeration, these are among the best momos I’ve ever had. The filling was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and wrapped in delicate, soft dumplings.

🍲 Jhol Momos: The highlight of our meal. The rich, flavourful jhol was perfectly balanced with spices and complemented the momos beautifully. An absolute must-try for anyone visiting.

🥩 Pork Chilli: Simply outstanding. Tender pork, perfectly cooked, tossed with fresh vegetables in a delicious sauce that had just the right amount of heat and smokiness. Easily one of the best pork chilli dishes I’ve tasted.

Everything we ordered was fresh, authentic, and packed with flavour. There wasn’t a single dish that disappointed us.

It’s rare to find a restaurant that excels in food quality, hygiene, hospitality, and ambience all at once, but Dalle’s Thakali has managed to do exactly that.

This visit has left us genuinely excited to return and explore the rest of their menu. If you’re in or around Bagdogra and appreciate authentic, freshly prepared food, this place deserves to be at the very top of your list.
